Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame Board Members

John T. Rediger

John T. Rediger Pharmacist, Rancher, Skier, and recipient of The Environmental Award from NRCS for Embracing Ranching and Ranching Challenges.  Rediger started the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame in Pecos with great passion, dedication, and commitment in 1999.  As a Beef Master breeder he has been awarded the Environmental Conservation Award in 2019 and runs the RX brand.  John has ranked #1 in Texas Ski Racing six times.

President - Janey Loree Paschal

The native Texan moved back to Texas in 2008 and joined the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame Committee that same year.  Janey served as Secretary up until 2023.  In 2010 she married local rancher, Shot Paschal, and became a full-time rancher herself.  The history of Pecos as it pertains to the West of the Pecos Rodeo and the ranching families that kept this history alive is very important to Janey as she continues to serve on the TRHoF Board.  Janey runs the 2P Bar and P Cross brands.

Vice President - Terry Holder

Terry Holder is a lifetime cowboy, rancher, and saddle maker.  Originally a native of New Mexico, Terry came to Pecos as the Reeves County Extension Agent in 1999.  Terry also owned The West of the Pecos Saddlery for ten years, until its close in 2020.  He resides in Pecos where he and his wife Leslie run the Bar N Brand.

Secretary - Leslie Holder

Leslie Holder is an Independent Petroleum Landman. A lifetime West Texan, Leslie is a Pecos native, who raised her family in Midland, Texas, and returned to Pecos in 2008 to work as a field landman. Leslie is the owner of Jewell 49, LLC Land Services, and resides in Pecos with her husband Terry.

Treasurer - Chuck Knudsen

Chuck Knudsen was raised in the Pecos area. Leaving in 1996 to join the Army, he and his family moved back in 2013. He served 2 terms as a city councilman and is Chair of the Reeves County Historical Commission. Chuck graduated with a BBA from Angelo State University and an MBA from Texas Tech. He is the grandson of National Cowgirl Hall of Fame Honoree Lucyle Richards.

Gail Box

Gail Box has been a long-time director on the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame Committee. She serves on the West of the Pecos Rodeo Committee and the Reeves County Junior Livestock Committee. Gail is a retired schoolteacher and was on the PBTISD board for 12 years. She is treasurer of the Twentieth Century Club, president of the Pecos Area Cancer Foundation, serves as a director on the West of the Pecos Museum Board, and is a director on the Reeves County Appraisal Board. Gail cares about this community and is thrilled that the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame finally has a home.

Hugh Box

Hugh Box has been a long-time director on the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame Committee. He serves on the West of the Pecos Rodeo Committee and the Reeves County Junior Livestock Committee. In addition, Hugh serves on the USA Agriculture Board and the Reeves Regional Health Hospital board. Hugh cares about this community and is thrilled that the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame finally has a home. Hugh is retired from Energy Transfer but keeps busy with farming, ranching, and Box-E Energy Services.  Hugh, and his wife Gail, run the Box E brand.

Donald Bippes

Donald Bippes has lived in Pecos his whole life. Soon after graduation in 1962 from Pecos High School, Donald started farming and ranching and he runs the H over Bar brand.  Donald wanted to support the Pecos community because of all the good friends he made and the opportunities that Pecos gave him.  He served on the rodeo committee, helping with the arena, for nine years. On the TRHoF Donald served as Vice President from 2015-2022. He feels strongly about saving the history of the West of the Pecos Rodeo and the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame for future generations. Donald is retired and Pecos will always be his home. 

Brenda McKinney

Brenda McKinney, born and raised in Pecos, Texas, has been a member of the TRHoF since 2001 and a member of the West of the Pecos Rodeo Committee since 1990.  Brenda’s love for the sport of rodeo shows with her longtime commitment to preserving the rodeo and western heritage in Pecos and Reeves County. Brenda and her husband Clay, run the Bar X Bar and Quarter Circle C brands. 

Kevin Duke

Local businessman, Kevin Duke, worked with past President Doug Miller, to complete Phase I of the Baggage Area Renovation to house the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame here in Pecos, Texas.

Maxine Hannsz Farmer

Maxine Hannsz Farmer has served on the TRHoF Board since 2016.  Maxine is a former secretary for the West Texas Barrel Racers Association (WTBRA). Maxine was a barrel horse trainer and competitor in the Abilene, Texas area for 20 years before moving to west Texas to start a full-time cow/calf operation in Culberson and Reeves Counties in 1989 and runs the Sombrero brand.

Tina Rhodes

Tina Rhodes compliments the TRHoF committee with her knowledge of ranching and rodeo and as a local rancher runs the TE brand.

Wanda Ryan

Wanda Ryan has been a part of the Pecos/Barstow community since 1965. She attended Pecos School District and earned an associate degree in criminal justice from Odessa College. Wanda retired after 25 years of service with The Texas Department of Public Safety as a communications Supervisor. Her tenure in law enforcement lasted 36 years and included working with the Reeves County Sheriff Department, Pecos Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and serving on the State of Texas Critical Incident Team with DPS. She holds a Master Peace Officer license.
