Jackie Bob Cox

Jackie Bob Cox from Del Rio, Texas joins several of her close family members in the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame.  Her uncle, Jim Bob Altizer was inducted in 2004, her father, Jack Riggs, in 2010 and her aunt, Blanche Altizer Smith, in 2014.  Jackie Bob competed in Pecos from 1964-2003.

Jackie Bob was born in Del Rio, Texas on February 25, 1954.  She holds many special honors that include helping start and run the San Antonio Livestock show and Rodeo (SALE) Barrel Futurity for 20 years as well as several inductions, qualifying for many titles, achieving directorships in Barrel Futurities of America, Texas High School Rodeo Association, American Junior Rodeo Association, West Texas Rodeo Association to name a few, and holds the honor of being one of few barrel racers that have been in the Top 15 of the Women’s Pro Rodeo Association, Top 10 in the Barrel Futurities of America standings and had horses she trained in the Texas High School Associations Finals Top 10 in the same year!
