Dan Fisher

Dan Fisher was born on June 20, 1951 in San Angelo, Texas. He attended his first West of the Pecos Rodeo in 1951, when he was less than a year old to watch his Dad rope. Dan started competing himself in Pecos in 1980 and has entered every year since then.

In 1982, Fisher was the team roping champion in Pecos. He also set an arena record in steer roping that held until 2005. He tied 6 of the 10 fastest times ever at Pecos in steer roping. Dan also furnished team roping and steer roping cattle throughout the 1990’s for the West of the Pecos Rodeo.
